Returns & Exchanges

Please choose carefully and read all product details and sizing advice before purchasing to ensure you have selected the right product. We do offer a refund on full priced products (excluding sale and discounted items, refer to 'Sale Items' for full terms) if a return request is submitted within 7 days of receiving the item and if the item passes the Collette Dinnigan return policy.

Making a return or exchange is easy using our four-step return process. Just make sure your returns authorisation (RA) number is generated within seven days of receiving your order.

 

REQUESTING YOUR RETURN AUTHORISATION

Making a return or exchange is easy using our 4 step return process listed below.

STEP 1: Please log into your account

STEP 2: Under ‘manage your account’ select ‘return requests’

STEP 3: Select your order number, then ‘return item’

STEP 4: Fill out the final steps answering the questions of why you are returning your item(s). We will be in contact within two days to confirm your return and generate a returns authorization (RA) number.

RETURNING YOUR PURCHASE

Please address your package as per the below: Please also note, purchases made through the shop website can only be returned to the Melbourne Collette Dinnigan Retail store.

We require you to post your return back via registered post with a tracking number. We recommend you use Australia post express post satchels within Australia. Once you have posted your items please forward us your tracking number to returns@collettedinnigan.com.au. We do not accept liability for goods in transit.

 

EXCHANGE

In order to offer our customers a premium service, we do not offer exchanges in the traditional sense. With our reliable delivery service, you will receive your right size and colour fastest if you simply place a second order.  Once we receive your return, we will credit your account.

 

GIFT RETURNS

If you have received an item as a gift, you may exchange it for a store credit to your Collette Dinnigan account (you will need to register your details). The amount will function as a credit note from your next purchase and will be valid for one year.

LATE RETURNS

A request authorisation (RA) number should be requested within 7 days of receiving your order. You should then return your item(s) within seven days of receiving this number.

Returns outside these timeframes may be accepted at our discretion and may only be refunded as a store credit.

 

FAULTY GOODS

Goods are classified as faulty if they are received damaged, or where a manufacturing fault occurs within six months of purchase. Please note items damaged as a result of wear and tear are not considered faulty.

Where possible, we will offer to repair faulty items. If the item cannot be replaced or repaired you will receive a full refund.

RECEIVING A REFUND

Your refund will be credited to the original purchaser's form of payment; credit card, Paypal account or credit note. Please be aware that it can take up to 14 days for a refund to be processed as the garment needs to be reviewed by quality control and then passed onto accounts before the refund can be made.

Please note card refunds may take up to 3 business days for your bank to complete, depending on their processing time. This can vary greatly between card issuers, and unfortunately we are unable to influence this.

We do not refund the initial shipping costs. We only refund the value of the goods returned.

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products appearing on the Collette Dinnigan website. However, as computer monitors vary, we cannot guarantee your monitor's display of any colour will be completely accurate.

All items are quality controlled and checked for any faults before they are dispatched to customers. Should you receive an item that is not in perfect condition please contact us immediately.

Please send all items you wish to return from an order in the same shipment to ensure your return is processed as quickly as possible.

Items should be returned in their original packaging to ensure they are adequately protected in transit. Your return may not be accepted if the box is damaged.

OUR POLICY

Items must be returned new, unused, and with all Collette Dinnigan garment tags still attached. Returned garments, which are damaged, soiled, altered or no longer with a return tag attached will not be accepted and will be sent back. Bridal gowns, evening gowns, delicate items and light coloured garments should be tried on with care so not to damage or stain.

Where provided, belts and any designer packaging such as authenticity cards, dust bags and leather tags should be included with your return.

Please email returns@collettedinnigan.com.au if any of your purchases have been delivered without Collette Dinnigan tags.

All items returned must have a return authorization (RA) number. Unidentified returns will be returned to the sender.

SALE ITEMS

We do not offer refunds on any discounted products, including sale products or products discounted through marketing and promotions.

Sale items cannot be returned for a refund or store credit.All sales are final. 

UNDERWEAR AND SWIMWEAR

Any Collette Dinnigan underwear and swimwear must be tried on over underwear. Returns will not be accepted if items are soiled or the hygiene sticker is removed or looks like it has been removed and replaced, such items will be sent back to the customer at the customers expense.

GIFTS AND ACCESSORIES

No gifts or accessories including eyemasks, candles and towels can be returned. All orders placed for gifts and accessories are final sale items.
